I know the phunnel was designed for tangiers, and other people have had good experiences using other brands of tobacco in it. What do you guys think? Is it fine to use layalina, Al Fakher, starbuzz, fantasia, etc... in it? And if so, do you pack it differently? Aka, standard fluff like an egyptian bowl, or do you overpack it?Thanks Guys.Ps. The phunnel is good for all juicy shishas in my opinion. For packing, just use the normal fluff technique works great, nothing special unless packing tangiers in it. The wet stuff is the best though (sb, af, layalina, tangiers blah blah) The fluff style is the best way to go. Hole wise, maybe like two rings, one on the outside edge, the other in the middle. With my medium phunnel a fluffed bowl of AF lasts (if memory serves) around 2 hrs. On HC it says that it holds 40-50g, but my medium probably holds about 40g. Also, any suggestions on the best place to pick one up? I don't like using my medium phunnel for anything but tangiers. Bulldog_916 Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 I've never been able to smoke through a phunnel bowl of anything, that's how long it lasts me. I've smoked starbuzz in it for upwards of 6 hours and it still gives nice smoke but the quality of the starbuzz is such that the taste doesnt last all that time. But with tangiers, I've sat and smoked 5 hours and I still had about a third of the bowl unburned. Pisses me off sometimes but that is the value you get from your shisha using a phunnel. I've used my medium phunnel for non tangiers shisha before but I feel like I am wasting what's left unsmoked. With Tangiers it's another story. I don't mind smoking the T for 2 to 3 hours at a time.
